Thank you! That was the hope 😂 I went through a silly amount of effort to timestamp things and put a secret message in the text that I think ends up probably being way too annoying for anyone to bother with if they try to follow it in this format 😅
This immediately reminded me of the Vampire the Masquerade: the Bloodlines game. They also had a radio show with callers, but there was no wishmaking. I also beta-read a very good book with a radio show in it. In short, I appreciate reading about radio shows. Listening to them? That I dislike.
This is analog horror firing on all frequencies — uncanny, immersive, and quietly devastating. The structure is razor-sharp: that slow descent into dread disguised as radio patter, the host’s casual menace, the fractured timestamps like reality glitching out of sync. And the music choices? Chef’s kiss. They don’t undercut the horror; they highlight it, like nightmares wrapped in bubblegum pop (or metal).
Also: “We do nothing except be seen.” That line hits like a sledgehammer. The whole refrain about observation and consequence? Chilling. I need this on cassette, preferably found in an abandoned thrift store, with a warning scrawled on the label in Sharpie.
And I just knew there had to be an acrostic or cipher in there. I think I’ve read through this three times trying to crack it. 😏
Spooky! Would love to hear this one with sound effects. I was definitely uncomfortable reading it haha.

I noticed and I wondered if it was a secret message! I'm gonna go back and look again
I second this. Reading it reminded me of the film Talk Radio (1988). If you've never seen it, I highly recommend.

Loved this! Demons play some bangers it seems.
Enjoyed how vague parts of it were. We didn't need details, just echoes of the fallout.

Thank you for reading and this detailed review! I’m glad you enjoyed it 😊
As for the hidden message, there are 30 incorrectly capitalized letters in the host dialogue that spell out an extra message to the reader! 😁
I love the dread that builds up in the background of this piece, helped by the few details we're given. Such an eerie piece!
